Yorkshire Terrier – Dog Breed
If you have allergies, don’t let that stop you from having a dog! Yorkshire terriers are considered hypoallergenic, which means that you will not be allergic to them. This is because Yorkies have hair like humans, rather than hair like most dogs!
You may have heard someone mention the term “pharyngeal arch reflex” when talking about a Yorkie. This is a natural and harmless act that only lasts for a few seconds. It occurs when air quickly rises through the nose and is like a reverse sneeze. The dog usually emits a hiss or a kind of sound that a goose makes.
The Yorkshire terrier is the second most popular breed in the world, after Labradors.
They are characterized by being a large dog in the body of a small dog. They wouldn’t be afraid to fight a bigger dog. It is a small dog, but full of personality. However, this can be a problem if your Yorkie is aggressive; you will have to protect your dog from dog fights. Yorkies are small, which means they are delicate. A Yorkie is easy to hurt, so it may not be the best breed of dog for families with young children who want to play rough.
They are intelligent and good-tempered dogs. They are known for their good behavior, but they are not very tolerant of being treated badly.
They are, of course, very cute and adorable. You can choose the weather to keep her hair long or cut it short!
